Workshops

I teach workshops on tapestry weaving, miniweaving, and wild weaving to both children and adults. If you would like to learn how to weave and are interested in joining one of my classes send me an email to receive updates on workshop dates and prices. I can also take bookings for groups and schools.

Miniweaving explores weaving landscapes on a miniature scale using repurposed and scrap yarns.

Wild weaving takes you on the journey of building your own loom and weaving with found items in nature.

Beginners tapestry weaving classes take you through the basics of learning to weave on a frame loom.

Here are some resources to get you started on your weaving journey

Paper weaving

Paper weaving is a brilliant introduction to weaving for kids. Learn to make a warp and how to interlace the weft to make fun patterns. This craft can be used for making book covers, coasters,  placemats or even board games!

Weaving is a great way to develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination in kids.

Weaving on a cardboard loom (weavecycling)

Cardboard looms are a great inexpensive way to learn to weave. They take very little time to set up so you can get to the fun bit too. In this video you will learn to make cardboard loom, warp the loom and weave a colourful collage on it.

Collages are a brilliant way to explore colour and texture in your weavings as well as reusing materials that would otherwise go in the bin or recycling. These weavings can even be used as a journal to document a place.
